The Season 2 Finale

We’ve reached the end. It’s with mixed emotions that Bryan and I have decided that this will be the final episode of this experiment in grassroots storytelling. It’s been an incredible adventure for us. The athletes left us inspired. The community reaction humbled us. Thank you. A few things I will never forget:

Spending New Years Eve in a no name town on Vancouver island inside Jonaven’s airstream. Rain pelted the aluminum. Watching the cable cam first take flight. The resulting look of glee on Matt’s face. Sunset at the mouth of the Klamath. Realizing that I still have the same enthusiasm for traveling the American West as I did when I was 21. Watching the light fade from the top of Cheop’s. I could go on and on. It has been a memorable experience.

Thanks for watching.

The finale…that’s it. That’s all.

That’s it. That’s all. After a year and half of work, the Season winds down, but not before we catch up with Matt as he tries to free climb “The Guillotine Flake” high on the Grand Wall.

Jonaven’s finale…Episode 17

Well, the end of the Season is nearing. This is the first of each athletes’ final episodes. Enjoy.

Jonaven’s season is nearing its conclusion, but before that happens he’s got a statement to make. An unexpected window of weather and avalanche stability allows a trip to the Tantalus where Jonaven and snowboarder Jeremy Jones put their “climb what you ride” mentality into action.

Where is Jonaven…Lucky Episode 13

Winter arrived like it was pissed off. November in Whistler was one of the best months of skiing ever, yet Jonaven Moore was no where to be found. The caboose was for sale. He had moved to a trailed on Vancouver Island’s lonely coast. Jonaven put his heart into the ocean and surfing. And by the way lucky 13 means we are on the downward slope towards the end.  This makes us happy.

Jonaven gets after it…Episode 10

Jonaven Moore reflects on his years riding big lines in Alaska.  Since the avalanche, there’s been a change in Jonaven.  He’s quieted down his life, but his riding hasn’t gotten any less intense.  It’s the pace with which he moves across mountains that’s shifted.  Some incredible footage in this one. Check out the wipe out half way through!

The iPhone Conundrum

Thanks everyone for bearing with us. It’s much appreciated and we’ve had to wade through a lot of technical details to figure out what was going on. Thanks to all who took the time to let us know what hardware you were using.

Here’s the gig. So if you’ve got an iPhone 3Gs you should have no problem downloading an episode via iTunes and playing it back on the newest iPhone.  Older generations don’t support true HD and that’s the standard we are pushing with this project. A lot of iPhone users have reported no problems, so we won’t be downgrading our normal feed, BUT we rerendered files for those of you with older phones. On our main site you will see a mobile tab; this is where you can get your files. We’ll be posting up older episodes and also adding the newest versions.

Thanks again for your patience.
